The son of a woman who died after being involved in an accident in Puchong said several men confronted his mother just before her death early yesterday morning.

Assunta Hospital demanded RM10,000 for my mother’s operation but I only had RM250 with me. They made us wait an hour before transferring her to Hospital Kuala Lumpur,” he claimed.
Yek died three hours after she was admitted to HKL.

On 30 May, 2007 - Lina losses appeal
Lina, 42, was born Azlina Jailani to Malay parents. She was brought up as a Muslim but at the age of 36 became a Christian.

She managed to change the name in her identity card to Lina Joy but the National Registration Department retained her religion in the card as Islam.

The High Court refused to decide on her application to renounce Islam as her religion on grounds that the issue should be decided by the Syariah Court. It also dismissed her application for an order to direct the department to drop the word “Islam” from her identity card.

Actress Nur Fazura Sharifudin had her shirt torn during a fight with a housewife. Fazura, 24, who appeared in movie Gol & Gincu, is charged with injuring Geraldine Mariana Wong, 32, in Bar Luna of Pacific Regency Hotel and Apartments, Jalan Kia Peng here, at about 1.20am on Dec 19, 2004.

The victim, a 28-year-old Mongolian beauty, was reportedly blown to pieces using explosives after she was apparently shot dead.

In the dock are policemen Cif Inspektor Azilah Hadri, 31, and Koperal Sirul Azhar Umar, 36, who are charged with committing the murder in Mukim Bukit Raja, Selangor, between 10pm on Oct 19 and 1am on Oct 20 last year.

Political analyst Abdul Razak Baginda, 47, who is accused of abetting the two Unit Tindakan Khas (special action force) personnel, allegedly committed his offence at the Bangunan Getah Asli in Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, between 9.54am and 11.05am on Oct 18 last year.
